A large and very rare separately issued plan of Bergen op Zoom in North Brabant by le Rouge. Extremely detailed with forests, fields, roads, buildings and waterways with the walled city of Bergen op Zoom. With one mileage scale and a compass rose. Title to the lower right.
Evidence of old folds to fit into a large folio Atlas, very good condition.
G. L. le Rouge was a French military engineer, hydrographer and cartographer. He produced a wide rang of attractive cartographic work. He held a position of Geographical Engineer to King Louis XV.
