Antique Maps by Louis Renard (*1678 - 1746)

Louis Renard, a member of a Huguenot family, was born 1678. He moved from France to the Netherlands and became a book dealer and publisher in Amsterdam from 1703. He purchased several plate of Frederick de Wit and published his Atlas de la Navigation et du Commerce in 1715. Later editions in 1739 and 1745 are published by R. & J. Ottens in Amsterdam. He died in 1746.
