A rare, large and detailed engraved map of the three country corner of Switzerland, France and Germany. The map shows the territory of the Habsburg dynasty during the 13th Century and comes from Genealogia diplomatica Augustae Gentis Habsburgicae of Marquard Herrgott, printed 1737 in Vienna. It was drawn by Franz Joseph Weis and shows the Alsace, Black Forest, Lake Constance and large parts of Switzerland. Engraved by Gottfried von Steinberg and published by Leopold J. Kaliwoda in Vienna. An unusual large map with a beautiful title cartouche and a figural mileage scale. All nicely coloured by hand.

Vertical and horizontal folds, printed on very strong chained line paper. Very good conditions.
