Large, old coloured engraving of a warship by Johann Baptist Homann. Published around 1720 in Nuremberg. Shows a three-master battleship with dinghies in the centre, below the cross section of the very detailed interior together with a key. Surrounded by 17 diagrams of various ship types and navigation instruments, including an admiral ship and a ship's compass.
The impressive leaf was occasionally bound to the great atlas of Homann Atlas novus terrarum orbis imperia regna et status exactis tabulis geographice demonstrans, but is quite rare to find.
