Condition

Very good and fresh impression with original old colouring. Good visible plate mark. Some minor browning.

Cartographer

Sydenham Teast Edwards was born 1768 in Brynbuga, Wales. He worked 27 years for Curtis's Botanical Magazine as a botanical artist. In 1815 he created his own magazine titled The Botanical Register: Consisting of Coloured Figures of Exotic Plants, cultivated in British Gardens, with their History and Mode of Treatment. He died in 1819.
