Rare, decorative plan of Ceuta, engraved by J. Harrewyn. Showing the new construction of the engineer D. P. Borraz in 1697. The plan was engraved for Cap. D. Carlos Erquicia, as mentioned in the lower mileage scale. The map was not published in a regular Atlas, but was found already in composite Atlases together with maps by E. H. Fricx. Since J. Harrewyn engraved mainly for Fricx, most properly the map was printed in Fricx's printing shop. Decorated with several sailing ships.

Excellent conditions with wide margin

Fricx was a bookseller and printer active in Brussels at the beginning of the 1700s. His major work was a large scale plan of Belgium and Luxembourg.
