Description

Later print (20th Century) of the most beautiful Lake of Constance map printed from the original copper plate, which today is still located at Castle Wolfegg. Ugo Bonaconsa to this map: 'This etching was dedicated to Count Maximilian Willibald, shown lower left with his son, by his steward, Johan Ernst Altmannshausen as a glorification of the war. This relates to the three inlay maps, depicting the siege of Lindau, the fire at the Castle Wolfegg and the siege of Constance...'. The map was engraved by Wolfgang Kilian (1581 - 1662), born in Augsburg.
