Bowen's map of North-Africa separated into a western and eastern part printed from one plate. From 'A Complete System of Geography'. Showing Morocco, Algeria, Libya, Egypt, parts of Spain and Portugal and the Mediterranean Island of Majorca, Sardinia, Sicily, Crete and Cyprus. Decorated with compass roses and two nice title cartouches.

Cartographer

Emanuel Bowen was a printer, publisher and map engraver in London during the mid-eighteenth century. From 1714 onwards he worked in London and began to produce some of the finest and most attractive maps of the century.
