| About the Author/ Artist: Sydenham Teast Edwards was born 1768 in Brynbuga, Wales. He worked 27 years for Curtis's "Botanical Magazine" as a botanical artist. In 1815 he created his own magazine titled "The Botanical Register: Consisting of Coloured Figures of Exotic Plants, cultivated in British Gardens, with their History and Mode of Treatment". He died in 1819. |
