Bowen's map of the southern part of South America from 'A Complete System of Geography'. With one title cartouche and a compass rose. With two inset maps, one of Santiago, the other of Terra del Fuego.
Evidence of two old vertical folds, some creases in upper left margin.
About the  Cartograph/ Printer:  Emanuel Bowen was a printer, publisher and map engraver in London during the mid-eighteenth century. From 1714 onwards he worked in London and began to produce some of the finest and most attractive maps of the century.
